The UAE is a constitutional federation of seven emirates. On 2ndDec’1971 (UAE’s National Day), six of these states – Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai, and Umm al Quwain – merged to form the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They were joined by Emirate of Ras al Khaimah on 10thFeb’1972.

Capital

Abu Dhabi city is the capital of the UAE Federation.

Founder

H. H. late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was the first President of the UAE and is known as the Father of the Nation.

Political system

Official language

The official language of the UAE is Arabic. Other widely spoken languages include: Bengali, English, Farsi, Hindi, Malayalam, Mandarin, Nepali, Russian, Sinhalese, Tagalog and Urdu.

Area

The UAE area is approximately 71,023.6sq km of land, including some islands in the Arab Gulf, in addition to 27,624.9sq km of territorial water. Abu Dhabi accounts for 84 per cent of the country’s total landmass.

Climate

The UAE maintains a desert climate. It is warm and sunny in the winter and during the summer, it is hot and humid. It is generally cooler in the eastern mountains.

Monetary unit/currency

The Emirati Dirham is the official currency of the UAE, abbreviated officially as AED. Unofficial abbreviations include Dh and Dhs.

  • The dirham is divided into 100 fils.
  • Coins are in the following denomination: AED 1, 50 fils and 25 fils.
  • Notes or bills are in the denomination of AED 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1,000.

Exchange rate:

The UAE Dirham is pegged to the USD. 1 USD = AED 3.6725.

Flag

The flag comprises three equal horizontal lines with green at the top, white in the middle and black at the base. There is also a wider vertical red ribbon in the direction of the flagpole.

  • Green represents hope, joy, optimism and love. It can also to symbolize the country’s prosperity.
  • White represents peace and honesty. White is the purest colour, and is interpreted by some to symbolize cleanliness.
  • Black stands for the defeat of enemies and also strength of mind.
  • Red represents hardiness, bravery, strength and courage. The vertical red band can also be interpreted as binding all the other meanings together in unity.

Population

According to Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority, the UAE’s total population (nationals and expatriate residents) was 9,304,277 in 2017, as compared to 9,121,167 in 2016. Males outnumber females.

There were 6,415,942 males in 2017, as compared to 6,298,294 in 2016. There were 2,888,335 females in 2017, as compared to 2,822,873 in 2016.

There are more than 200 nationalities living and working in the UAE. The expatriate community outnumbers the population of UAE nationals.

Indians form the largest foreign community in the UAE, followed by Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, other Asians, Europeans and Africans.

Coastline

Prior to the construction of ‘Dubai Palms’ and other schemes, the coastline of the UAE was approximately 1,318 kilometers. Land reclamation projects are extending this figure.

Taxes

The UAE does not levy income tax on individuals. However, oil companies and branches of foreign banks are liable to pay taxes. In addition, the UAE levies 5 per cent Value Added Tax on the consumption or use of goods and services.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival transfer from Dubai airport to hotel and check in.

Arrive at Dubai airport, meet and greet by our representative and transfer to your hotel.

Once a small fishing village in the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is today one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world. One of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is home to nearly 200 nationalities and offers a truly memorable experience to all visitors. Whether it is by the banks of the Creek, or at the top of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, Dubai lives and breathes a sense of possibility and innovation. And with an unparalleled coastline, beautiful desert and magnificent cityscapes, memories are just waiting to be made here.

Arrive and check in at hotel (standard check in time 15:00 hrs.) Early check in will be subject to availability, for confirmed early check in, room should be booked from previous night.

Day 02: Afternoon Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner (Duration 05 hours).

Afternoon proceed for Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner. Experience the magic and mystery of an Arabian desert 4WD tour. The safari will give you the golden opportunity to see the towering sand dunes of the desert as you go on a roller coaster ride on board your all-terrain vehicle. This tour provides a thrilling and fun-filled experience in the most remote desert area known as Lahbab. Experience the skills of your driver as they drive across the rolling sand dunes for a 30-40 minutes.Stop at the highest dune to watch a desert sunset. Back on board, continue the drive to a Bedouin campsite right in the heart of the desert. When you arrive at camp you will be greeted with Qahwa (Arabic coffee) and dates. Your safari guide will brief you about the various available activities at the camp.You can hop-on the camel for a short ride, smoke a shisha, decorate your hands with Henna tattoosand also can take pictures in traditional Arabic clothes.As the night settles in, enjoy the scrumptious BBQ dinner of kebabs, hummus and salads accompanied by sodas/soft drink and water. Alcoholic drinks are available with additional charges.Enjoy a colorful belly dancing, Fire show and Tanura performance where fast-spinning dancers’ whirl across the stage. Don’t forget to snap some photos with the Arabian falcons that are present at the camp (might be additional charges). Finally, after the last show, you will be drive back to your hotel.

Day 03: Half day city tour of Dubai with English speaking local guide

Morning proceeds for guided city tour of Dubai with English speaking local guide. Your tour can we started either from historical or modern Dubai, depending upon either your pick up or drop-off location.

In historical Dubai, you will be visiting Dubai Museum located in the ancient Al Fahidi Fort, Dubai Creek and Abra also known as water taxi (city's oldest mode of transportation). Later drive pastThe Gold Souk renowned for its wide collection of gold jewelry, The colorful and aromatic Spice Souk in one of Dubai’s heritage area.

In modern Dubai, you will be drive past Jumeirah Road, la Mer beach & market, Photo-stop at Jumeirah Beach and Burj Al Arab. Next head to visit Palm Jumeirah - a man-made island built in the shape of a palm, where you will be drive past the luxurious Atlantis, The Palm. Later drive past Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Canal, Burj Khalifa and Zabeel Palace before being dropped off back at your hotel.

Day 04: Half day city tour of Sharjah & Ajman with English speaking local guide

Today morning you will be meeting your English-Speaking Professional Guide for half day Sharjah tour.

This tour will take you to Sharjah, the neighboring emirate of Dubai, also known as the ‘Pearl of the Gulf’. Sharjah is the cultural metropolis within the United Arab Emirates and the third largest state. We start with a photo-stop at the magnificent Al Noor Mosque on Al Buhaira Corniche and proceed to the largest mosque in Sharjah, the King Faisal Mosque. We then visit the Islamic Civilization Museum. Several galleries display carefully restored artifacts from around the Muslim world, celebrating Islamic contribution to the World Heritage. We drive to Sharjah’s ‘Old Town’. After a stroll through the restored traditional market Souk Al Arsa, visit Sharjah Heritage museum for a glimpse of a traditional family home and typical Arabian Gulf architecture. Before returning, you have time to explore Souk Al Markazi - a treasure trove of carpets, jewellery and handicrafts.

Day 05: Full day East Coast Tour with English speaking local guide

Take a day to explore the picturesque East Coast of the United Arab Emirates. From quaint fishing villages to mountain canyons and beautiful beaches, this tour visits the highlights of the East Coast.



Heading to the East, you drive through Emirate Sharjah towards the Hajar Mountains.In the little town of Masafi, shop at the Friday Market (open daily) to browse local crafts, pottery and carpets. Later Drive along wadis and canyons. Stop for lunch (not included in the price) at a beach-side hotel with time for a swim in the ocean. Later drive through Al Aqah, we stop for a photo at Bidiyah Mosque, the oldest and smallest mosque in the United Arab Emirates. See the iconic Fujairah Fort, before spending some time at the Fujairah Museum. Stop for photos in front of the breathtakingly beautiful Shaikh Zayed Mosque of Fujairah. By taking mountain highway through the Hajar Mountains we head back to Dubai.

Day 08: Check out from our and proceed for full day city tour of Al Ain. Evening transfer to Abu Dhabi.

Check out from hotel and proceed to Abu Dhabi via Al Ain. Al Ain city is located in the East of Abu Dhabi and is the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The Al Ain province is known for the first university of UAE, the birth place of the father of nation and known to be the home of the earliest Bedouin settlements in the Middle East. The city is surrounded by the Hajar Mountains, sharing the border between UAE and Sultanate of Oman. The green lush boulevards towards Al Ain are beautifully landscaped with palm trees, surrounded by reddish sand dune is indeed a marvelous scenery.

We take a photo-stop at the Ain zoo, Hili Garden and Oasis. Visit the archeological excavation site where you get a chance to examine over the remains of mud brick house and age-old tombs. The archaeological site is known to be the remains of Bronze Age settlement. Here you can see the Al Ain Museum where age old pottery and tools are on display which were used before the discovery of oil. Continue the tour to visit the Al Jahili fort built in 1890's known to be one of the oldest buildings and used to be the summer house of the ruling family. The fort was built as a watch guard for the date palm groves. The Al Ain tour offers many historical sites and its displays the Bedouin life until today as the city has one of the largest numbers of local population which is rarely seen in this part of the world.

Our next stop will be Al Ain camel market (Optional). The camel market is one of the rarest scenes in the world. During our Al Ain tour you get to dip your feet in hot spring.



Then get set ready to continue to the peak of Jebel Hafeet, one of the highest mountain peaks located approximate 1249 mts high above the sea level.

Later you drive to Abu Dhabi city and check in at hotel.

Day 09: Full day visit to Yas Parks (Ferrari World and Warner Bros. or Yas Water Park)

Full day visit to Yas Parks (1 day 2 park pass). Any 2 park visit from these 3 park options. Yas Express is the complimentary shuttle bus service with in Yas Island that can get you to any of the major island attractions.

The star attractions at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi include the new Flying Aces ride featuring the highest rollercoaster loop in the world, Formula Rossa which is the world’s fastest roller coaster with a top speed of 250kmph in 4.9 seconds, family-friendly attractions, state-of-the-art simulators, electric-powered go-karts, live shows and an inspiring collection of racing memorabilia.



Option02: Yas Water Park - This futuristic waterpark spans across an area as big as 15 football pitches, with 43 rides, slides, and attractions – five of which are one-of-a-kind. Visitors at Yas Waterworld can experience the world’s first and largest hydro-magnetic-powered, six-person tornado waterslide that extends up to 235 meters in length. For adrenaline junkies, there are three-meter-high waves on Bubble’s Barrel, which has the world’s largest surf sheet wave for flow-boards and body-boards.

Day 10: Check out from hotel. half day city tour of Abu Dhabi with English speaking local guide including visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Later in time transfer to Dubai airport.

Following pickup from your hotel in Dubai, travel along the Gulf coast to Abu Dhabi, listening to fascinating stories about one of the richest cities in the world along the way. Visit the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque which is one of the popular landmarks of the Abu Dhabi city. Admire the mosque’s white marble structure that consists of 82 domes, chandeliers, and flower-patterned designs. Next, take a drive along the Abu Dhabi Corniche to experience scenic views of the Arabian Gulf. Admire the clean water of the harbor as you continue to the opulent Emirates Palace, the official palace of Abu Dhabi’s ruling government.Then enjoy a visit to another of Abu Dhabi's landmarks, the Etihad Towers. Those who have seen the ‘Furious 7’ movie will remember the imposing tower. Later you will visit the Heritage village, a journey to the past and experience traditional life in Abu Dhabi. Then continue driving towards port Zayed to the Date market where we will have a great opportunity to taste a variety of the local fruit.
